Looping the cable wrap around your catalytic converter:
1. Loosen the tamperproof shear nuts from each wire rope clip so that the six cables of the cable wrap are free from the wire rope clips.
2. Loop the cable wrap (six cables) around your catalytic converter as shown above by pulling both ends of the cable wrap (in opposite directions) through a wire rope clip positioned at the midpoint of the underside of your catalytic converter. Make sure that the curved portion of the wire rope clip will be flush against your catalytic converter when the cable wrap is tightened. This positioning prevents cutting attempts from being performed on the wire rope clip.
3. Pull one end of the cable wrap through the wire rope clip extends out past the wire rope clip (as shown above on the right side of the photo).
4. Manually pull the other end of the cable wrap (i.e., the end of the cable wrap on the left side of the photo) all the way through the wire rope clip so that a somewhat tight loop is formed around your catalytic converter.
5. Tighten down each tamperproof shear nut (with a socket wrench) just enough to keep the loop around your catalytic converter in place.
Tightening/locking the cable wrap araround your catalytic converter:
6. While holding in place the ends of of the six cables that are extending out past the wire rope clip by 3-6 inches (the ends of the cable wrap extending towards the right in the photo directly above), pull each individual cable end that is extending towards the left of the photo (with a pair of pliers) as tightly as possible through the wire rope clip. Note that the curved portion of the wire rope clip is now held tightly against the bottom side of the catalytic converter to minimize the exposure of the wire rope clip to tampering.
7. Tighten down each tamperproof shearnut slightly (i.e., one-quarter to one-half turn each).
